Most people who realize that the injections doctor is giving to them aren’t the best solution start looking for other methods of sciatica pain relief they can apply at home! I want to show you some great methods anyone can do to relieve the sciatica pain quickly and without a lot of efforts!

Pain killers are the usual medications you’ll receive from your doctor, but they are ineffective in the long run because they don’t help you with the problem, they just help you to ease the pain. But there are something you can take for a cure – anti inflammatory drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen. You don’t need a prescription to buy them and they will help you very fast if the pain caused by inflamed sciatic nerve!

Massage is excellent to loosen the tensed muscles around the sciatic nerve and relieve the pain. It has to be done every day at least once for the buttocks muscles and also the big muscle in the back of the leg called hamstring! You should add essential oils to the massage to make it more effective and reduce the inflammation in the area and in the nerve itself. The most famous one is the Lavender oil. It will help you to ease the pain and also relaxation of the area.

Yoga – there are a lot of researches that say yoga is one of the best ways to cure and also prevent back pain and sciatica. It helps you to stretch the leg muscles and strength the lower back muscles. The best thing about it is it can be done at home and it’s also fun and doesn’t take a lot of effort. All you need is a yoga belt and a little carpet. It’s important for you to stick with it if you want to see results, because unlike drugs, it’s a long term method for sciatica pain relief!

Stretches – since exercising with sciatica is almost impossible you have to do stretches to release the spasm in the inflamed muscle. You can find tons of videos online that will show you how what exactly to do and how to perform it right to not harm yourself. Stretches should be performed at least two times a day for them to be effective.

Another great remedy I’ve personally used with success was the chamomile which is known as a great anti inflammatory remedy. As weird as it sounds, for sciatica pain relief you should make a chamomile tea and dink it 2-3 times a day.

All these methods work great and promise you a quick pain relief but unfortunately they won’t cure you and nobody can promise you that the sciatica won’t strike again in a week or even a day. The good news is that it’s more then possible to cure sciatica and not suffer from it again!
